Thanks for Coming to Tryouts

Here’s what happens next, and the one form we still need from some families.

Action Needed

Participation Waiver & Photo Release

We ran out of paper copies at the gym. If you already signed a waiver at tryouts, you’re all set — skip this. If you didn’t, please fill this one out. One form per family — it has room for up to four players.

Fill it out and sign it right on your phone or computer — it takes about two minutes, goes straight to the board, and you’ll get a copy by email. List your player(s), any medical needs a coach should know about, and an emergency contact. If you don’t want your player in PYBA photos, check the photo release box.

Sign the Waiver Online

Prefer paper? Print the PDF, fill it in by hand, and hand it to any board member.

This Sunday

Open Gym — Sunday, October 4

6:00–7:30 PM at Pillager Schools. We won’t need the backup evaluation date, so we’re using it for an open gym instead. This one isn’t an evaluation — it’s all about working on basketball skills, getting shots up, and having fun. Open to all school-age kids.

What’s Next

From Tryouts to Teams

Teams Get Built

Evaluators scored every player during tryouts. The board meets with the evaluators to go through those scores and build the teams. Players are placed by grade and boys/girls — a grade may have an A and a B team, depending on numbers.

Placement Email

Coaches are still being finalized. Once we know your player’s coach, practice night, and gym, we’ll email you at the address you used to sign up. Schedules go on the website as soon as teams are set.

Season Registration

Your placement email has a link to finish registration — pick a jersey size and pay the $300 season fee (same for every grade).

Season Fee: $300

Covers five tournaments for each team, gym time at the Middle School and High School, game and practice equipment, insurance, and a uniform. Payment details come with your placement email.

Get $50 Back

Volunteer four hours during the season and $50 comes back to you, per child in the program. Scorekeeping, setup and teardown, and tournament help all count. The refund is paid out at the end of the season.

Next Board Meeting

Monday, October 12 · 5:15 PM
Coach Russell’s room, Pillager Schools

The board meets the third Monday of every month (October’s meeting is Monday, October 12). Parents are welcome. Minutes are posted under News.

We Need Coaches & Volunteers

We’re still looking for head coaches, assistant coaches, scorekeepers, and setup/teardown help. Every coach is background checked and approved by the board. No experience needed to run a clock or carry a ball rack.
